Robert McDonald

Technical Service Engineer at Welbilt

Robert McDonald has over 30 years of work experience in various industries. Robert began their career as a Security Guard at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 1989. Robert then joined the United States Air Force, where they held several roles, including Aircraft Armament Systems Technician, Weapons Standardization Specialist, Weapons Flightline Expediter, Quality Assurance Inspector, NCOIC of Maintenance, and Strategic Armament Systems Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for maintaining and inspecting weapons systems on B-52 aircraft. Robert left the Air Force in 2013 and joined Fibrebond Corporation as an Installation Technician, where they manufactured and integrated power conversion stations for solar farms. Robert later became an Assistant Supervisor of the Power Division, overseeing the production of utility-scale Solar Power Conversion Stations. In 2017, they joined Strategic Technology Institute Inc. as an Aircraft Mechanic III (Team Lead), supervising a team of mechanics and providing technical guidance on aircraft maintenance operations. Currently, they are working as a Technical Service Engineer at Welbilt Inc.

Robert McDonald attended Louisiana Tech University from 2010 to 2013 and pursued a field of study in General Studies. Prior to that, from 1994 to 2013, they attended the Community College of the Air Force and obtained a degree in Aircraft Armament Systems Technology. In 2004, they also completed a certificate program in Operations Management and Supervision at the Air Force NCO Academy. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained an Osha 10Hr certification and a Superviser Safety Training certification, but the specific institutions and dates are not provided.
