Jon Forlines

VP, Student Services, Dean, Students & Associate Professor, Psychology at Welch College

Dr. Jon Forlines is vice president for student services at Welch College, a position he has held since 2001. He graduated from Welch in 1980, serving as president of the student body his senior year. He received his M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University and later received his Ph.D. in the same discipline.

Dr. Forlines served as associate pastor and minister of music at Grace Free Will Baptist Church (Greenville, North Carolina) from 1981 to 1990. He also served as a psychological examiner at the Tennessee Prison for Women and did his doctoral internship at the DeBerry Special Needs Facility in Nashville. He has performed more than 500 hours of volunteer service at drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers.
