Lars Pekay

Lars Pekay is the VP of Food Safety & Quality at Welch's, where they focus on strategic leadership and developing teams to enhance product safety and regulatory compliance. With a strong background in FDA regulations, HACCP, and product development, Lars has held notable positions at General Mills and The Schwan Food Company, leading initiatives to improve food safety and consumer satisfaction. They hold a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The Ohio State University and are currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology at Wake Forest University. Lars combines technical expertise with a passion for excellence, driving constructive change within the food and bioscience industry.
