Basma Alawee

Basma Alawee has held various leadership roles in organizations dedicated to immigrant rights and advocacy. Currently, Basma serves as Deputy Executive Director and Director of External Affairs at the Community Sponsorship Hub, along with being on the Advisory Board. Additionally, Basma is part of the National Welcome Council at Welcome.US and is the Co-Founder & Executive Director at WeaveTales. With a background in materials engineering, Basma has also been involved in national campaigns and served as a board member and honorary delegate for organizations like The National Partnership for New Americans, Florida Immigrant Coalition, SOUTHEAST IMMIGRANT RIGHTS NETWORK INC, and Refugee Congress.
