Katie Smith

Katie Smith has extensive experience in communications and marketing roles. Katie is currently the Communications and Public Relations Director for the Weld RE-4 School District, where they are responsible for district-wide communication and marketing. Prior to this, they worked as a Communications Specialist at Clearview Library District and as the Co-Founder and Marketing Director at Luna Lab Company. Katie also has experience in external communication and marketing roles at Cal Poly State University, the Town of Windsor Colorado, and Adams 12 Five Star Schools. Additionally, Katie has held positions in design and marketing at AIGA Iowa, INVISION Architecture, and the University of Northern Iowa. Katie began their career as a Marketing Intern at Harper Brush Works. Katie has demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective communication strategies and fostering engagement among various stakeholders.

Katie Smith pursued their education at the University of Northern Iowa from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design with a focus on Art Studio. Following that, they attended Colorado State University from 2021 to 2024, striving to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management. In addition to their academic achievements, Katie Smith obtained certifications in Google Ads Display and Google Ads Search from Google in February 2022.
