James Mcewen

James McEwen has extensive work experience in finance and operations roles. James is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Welded Tube of Canada since April 2022. Before that, they held the position of CFO and VP Finance at the same company from November 2018 to April 2022. Prior to joining Welded Tube of Canada, James was the CFO at Pioneering Technology Corp. from August 2017 to October 2018. James also has experience as a Co-Owner at Upwardor Inc. from July 2014 to May 2017. James has held various finance and supply chain management positions, including Vice President at CGC Inc. from July 2007 to June 2014 and Regional Director at Smurfit-MBI in 2007. James began their career as a Consultant at Newport Partners Income Fund from March 2006 to December 2006. James also served as the Director of Finance and Logistics at BASF from August 1998 to November 2005.

James McEwen earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Management Economics and Finance at the University of Guelph from 1992 to 1996. In addition, James holds a Certified Public Accountant certification from AICPA - Colorado, obtained in 2002.
