Johann Cilliers (MBA, CDMP) has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Johann is currently working as the Group Marketing Director at Welding Alloys Group, where they lead internal and external marketing and communications efforts to enhance engagement, revenue, and company reputation. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Communications at Linde, where they formulated and led marketing and communication strategies to drive revenue and build company reputation. Johann also held the position of GM Communications at Linde, responsible for product marketing and communications activities across multiple channels. Before Linde, Johann worked at Afrox as a Retail Business Manager, overseeing various marketing and retail operations. Johann also gained experience as a Senior Business Consultant at Affinity Logic Systems and as a National Retail Buyer at Massmart. Johann's career began at NWJ Fine Jewellery, where they served as a Corporate Retail Trainer and Product Selector.
Johann Cilliers has a diverse education history. In 1990 to 1992, they attended the Durban University of Technology, where they obtained a National Diploma in Design. Continuing their studies, Johann enrolled at The Open University in 1998 and completed a Professional Certificate in Management (B600). In 1999, they pursued a Diploma in Advanced Professional Business Management at The Open University, specializing in Development and Change as well as Managing Resources for the Market.
Johann furthered their education by obtaining a Project Management Diploma from Damelin in 2000. Later, in 2001 to 2003, they achieved a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from The Open University.
Focusing on digital marketing, Johann attended the Digital Marketing Institute in 2019 and 2020, where they earned a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) certification. Johann successfully completed the program in July 2020.
