Saad Jakani

Saad JAKANI serves as the Regional Director for the Middle East & Africa at Welding Alloys Group since January 2020, previously holding the position of Regional Sales Director MENA at LIBERTY PIPES (HARTLEPOOL) LIMITED. From September 2016 to May 2018, Saad was the PD Director at ArcelorMittal R&D, overseeing a significant Research Industry Program targeting the Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, and Construction sectors. Prior to that, Saad assumed the role of Acting CEO for ACIS Tubular Products at ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Europe and served as CEO of ArcelorMittal Pipes and Tubes (seamless), managing various aspects of corporate leadership. Saad’s career also includes positions as Technical Director in the Energy Segment and Program Manager for Tubular Products R&D. Saad began with research roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at ANSTO and as a Research Scientist at CEA. Saad holds a PhD in Metallurgy from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI), obtained between 2002 and 2004.
