Nicole Trickett has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Nicole currently works as the Chief Education Officer at Welfie, a position they started in July 2021. Prior to this, they worked in the San Francisco Unified School District for 13 years. Nicole held various roles, including School Principal at Aptos Middle School from July 2018 to June 2020, Assistant Principal at Aptos Middle School from July 2016 to July 2018, Program Administrator for Special Education Services from July 2014 to June 2016, and Content Specialist for Special Education Services from June 2011 to June 2014. Nicole started their career as a Special Education Teacher at Civic Center Secondary School as part of the Teach for America Corps Member from August 2008 to July 2011.

Nicole Trickett completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology at The George Washington University from 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Special Education and Teaching at Alliant International University-San Francisco Bay from 2008 to 2010. Nicole also obtained several certifications related to their field of study. In 2010, they achieved the Preliminary Level 1 Education Specialist Credential, authorized in Mild/Moderate Disabilities, as well as the Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, authorized in General Subjects. Nicole acquired the Clear Level II Education Specialist Credential, authorized in Mild/Moderate Disabilities, and the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential in 2014. In 2018, Nicole earned the Clear Administrative Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
