Pamela Moyo

VP of Behavioral Health at Welfie

Pamela Moyo has extensive work experience in the field of clinical psychology and neuropsychology. Pamela began their career as a Clinical Psychology Trainee at the Behavioral Health Institute, where they provided psychotherapy and administered neuropsychological assessments to children and adults. Pamela then served as a Neuropsychology Extern at Cram Elementary School, where they conducted educational assessments and participated in IEP meetings.

Pamela went on to work as a Neuropsychology Extern at Casa Colina Hospital & Healthcare, where they administered and interpreted inpatient neuropsychological evaluations and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient treatment. Pamela also gained experience as a Neuropsychology Extern at the University of California, Los Angeles, Semel Institute, where they conducted comprehensive outpatient assessments and facilitated cognitive rehabilitation programs for individuals with neurodegenerative conditions.

Continuing their education, Pamela pursued a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology at Loma Linda University. During this time, they acquired specialized knowledge in neuropsychology.

After completing their Ph.D., Pamela served as a Neuropsychology Extern at Cedars-Sinai, where they conducted comprehensive outpatient and inpatient neuropsychological assessments and presented research on neuroanatomical correlates in relation to assessment measures.

Pamela then worked as a Neuropsychological Extern at the California Rehabilitation Institute, conducting neuropsychological evaluations and providing psychotherapy within the inpatient rehabilitation unit. Pamela also assisted with mindfulness and cognitive rehabilitation groups.

In 2018, Pamela became a Clinical Psychology Intern at the National Psychological Training Consortium-Burrell Behavioral Health. In this role, they provided evidence-based psychotherapy and conducted outpatient psychological evaluations for children and adults within a rural population. Pamela also collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Most recently, Pamela served as the VP of Behavioral Health at Welfie, where they oversaw behavioral health services.

Currently, Pamela holds the position of a Postdoctoral Fellow at Alexa Rabin Psychology Services, Inc. Pamela provides psychotherapy using evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, they conduct outpatient psychological evaluations and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients in their therapy and evaluation processes.

Pamela Moyo began their education in 2007 at Western Michigan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology in 2010. Pamela then pursued further education at Loma Linda University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Clinical Psychology from 2012 to 2014. Continuing their academic journey, Pamela completed their education at Loma Linda University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from 2012 to 2018.
