Zac Long

CEO & General Counsel at Well Care Health

Zac Long has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Zac began their career as a Quality and Productivity Intern at Bank of America in 2007. From there, they worked as a Legal Clerk at Legal Aid of North Carolina and the National Health Law Program (NHeLP) in 2009 and 2010, respectively. In 2011, they became an Analyst Intern at Duke University Health System, specializing in Strategic and Clinical Services Planning. The following year, in 2012, they continued their role as an Analyst Intern at Duke University Health System, this time focusing on Network Services. In the same year, they joined PwC as a Senior Associate in the Health Industries Advisory Practice. In 2014, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Choice One Dental Partners, where they served until November 2016. Finally, they joined Well Care Health in December 2016 as the VP of Growth and Strategy & General Counsel and later became CEO & General Counsel in October 2017.

Zac Long's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Davidson College. Zac completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Medical Humanities in 2008.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Zac went on to attend the University of North Carolina School of Law from 2008 to 2012. Zac obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree during this time.

Simultaneously, Zac also pursued a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Zac specialized in Health Policy and Administration, completing their studies in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Zac obtained a certification in Mastering Leadership Dynamics from the Truist Leadership Institute in April 2023.
