Karen Politis Virk

Karen Politis Virk is an experienced public health professional currently serving as the Manager of Health Equity and Translation at Well since November 2021. Prior roles include developing the Health Equity Now Plan with the City of Boston, focusing on health inequities among communities of color, and participating in the COVID-19 Contact Tracing Collaborative at Partners In Health, where Karen engaged with state and local health departments. Additionally, Karen contributed to the Holyoke Urban Forest Equity Plan and held fellowships and internships aimed at improving access to healthcare services for immigrants and analyzing public funding impacts on reproductive health. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University and a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston University.
