Ryan Hays

Ryan Hays has over 20 years of work experience in the energy industry. Ryan currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Well Control School and as the Chief Executive Officer at iEnergyi. Prior to these roles, Ryan worked as a Contract Well Control Instructor at the International Association of Drilling Contractors from 2020 to 2022. Ryan was also the President of IAWCI from 2020 to 2021. Before that, Ryan held various positions at Wild Well, including Area Manager and Well Control Instructor. Ryan started their career at EQT Corporation, where they served as a Compliance and Technical Trainer and a Production and H2S Specialist. Ryan's expertise also includes H2S and Production consulting at North East Energy Consultants.

Ryan Hays has an Associate's Degree in Medical Science from Penn State University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998. In 2004, they completed a certification program at the National Welding Inspection School, earning the CPWI (Certified Pipeline Welding Inspection) credential. Ryan continued their education in the drilling industry, obtaining certifications from the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). In 2011, they became an IADC Well Control Instructor, and in 2016, they became a Certified Facilitator through IADC. Additionally, in 2016, they obtained certifications as an IADC WellSharp Instructor and an IADC Facilitator. Ryan has expertise in drilling surface/subsea, workover/completion, coiled tubing, snubbing, wireline, and well cap plus.
