Mara Weitzman

Mara Weitzman is an experienced educator and technology specialist with a strong background in Montessori education. Currently serving as an Innovation Think Tank Fellow at the American Montessori Society, Weitzman collaborates with a team to explore Montessori methodologies. Previous roles include Information Technology Specialist at Wellan Montessori School and Upper Elementary Teacher at Charles River School, where Weitzman integrated science and engineering principles into the curriculum. Additionally, Weitzman has held positions as an Elementary Science Teacher and STEM Specialist at Kingsley Montessori School, focusing on fostering critical thinking and scientific literacy in Upper Elementary students. Educated at Swarthmore College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Wheelock College with a Master's in Elementary Science and Math Education, Weitzman's career spans over two decades in various teaching and leadership roles.
