Swee Hoe ONG is an accomplished bioinformatician and software developer with extensive experience in genomics and molecular epidemiology. Currently serving as a Principal Software Developer and Data Scientist at the Wellcome Sanger Institute since 2013, Swee Hoe focuses on novel genome engineering techniques and CRISPR-based genetic screening. Prior tenure includes roles at the Genome Institute of Singapore, where development of molecular diagnostics and metagenomics protocols were highlighted, as well as positions at Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, centered on dengue virus research.
