Ben Ryder is a seasoned professional in climate impact and adaptation, currently serving as a Research Manager at Wellcome Trust since February 2022. Prior experience includes a role at the UN Environment Programme within the Climate Services and Capacity Building Unit, and a Program Manager position at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation focusing on the Africa Crop Epidemiology System. Ben has also worked as a Knowledge Management Consultant at the European Investment Bank and the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Development Facility, alongside several communications roles with AgShare.Today and Scriptoria Sustainable Development Communications. Intern experience includes a role at Fair Trials, and volunteer work with International Service UK. Ben holds an MSc in Environment, Politics and Society from UCL and a B.A. (Hons) in Politics with International Relations from the University of York.
