Sofia Syntaka, PhD, is a Funding Manager for Directed Activities at the Wellcome Trust since 2025. With a background in neuroscience and regenerative medicine, Sofia completed a PhD at King's College London, where they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Prior to this role, Sofia gained consulting experience at ClearView Healthcare Partners and Eradigm Consulting, and held positions at the Francis Crick Institute and Nucleate. They're also involved in mentoring within KCL Womxn in STEM and participated in the Venture Institute Cohort 2 as a Fellow. Sofia has pursued executive education at the London Business School and is currently completing a certificate at the University of Cambridge.
