Carina Zhang

Carina Zhang is an undergraduate researcher at Wellesley College, focusing on the interaction of epigenetic and developmental genetic regulators with environmental factors in insect development. Carina has held various roles, including serving as a Library Public Services Assistant, scheduling manager, and Residential Assistant, where responsibilities included staff coordination and community-building activities. Additional experience includes facilitating discussions on identity and inclusion, participating in entrepreneurial projects at Harvard Business School, and engaging in research on health disparities at the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program. Carina has assisted in vaccine research at the Institute of Medical Biology, contributed to synthetic genetic circuit studies at the MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering, and supported early childhood education as a teaching assistant. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and Anthropology, Carina has demonstrated strong leadership and research skills throughout academic and extracurricular endeavors.
