Mara Laslo

Mara Laslo is an accomplished academic with a focus on evolutionary biology, particularly the study of direct development in frogs. Currently serving as an Instructor of Science Laboratories and Visiting Lecturer at Wellesley College since June 2022, Mara also holds the position of Curriculum Fellow at Harvard Medical School since August 2019. Previously, Mara was a Ph.D. Candidate at the Museum of Comparative Zoology from August 2013 to July 2019, where research centered on the role of thyroid hormone in limb development using the common coqui as a model. Additionally, from 2011 to 2013, Mara contributed as a Teaching Assistant at American University, facilitating online discussions and course materials for human biology. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Developmental Biology from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
