Nikki Greene

Nikki Greene serves as an Associate Professor of Art History at Wellesley College since 2011, specializing in the Arts of Africa and the African Diaspora. Greene's forthcoming book, "Glitter, Grime, and Glass: The Body and the Sonic in Contemporary Black Art," is set to be published by Duke University Press. Previous academic roles include a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Art and Africana Studies at Rutgers University and various adjunct faculty positions at institutions such as Tyler School of Art and LaSalle University. Greene earned a BA in Art History and Spanish Literature from Wesleyan University, as well as both an MA and Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Delaware. Notable early career experiences include fellowships at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, focusing on African-American art collections.
