Cynthia Mahr

Cynthia Mahr currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at Wellesley Public Schools since July 2018. Mahr holds the position of Past President at the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials (MASBO) since May 2021. Previous roles include Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at Weston Public Schools from July 2006 to June 2018, and Director of Administrative Services for The Public Schools of Brookline from January 2001 to July 2006. Mahr's earlier experience includes serving as Director of Administration and Finance at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Budget Director and Assistant Budget Director at the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, and Fiscal Policy Analyst and Operations Coordinator at the Massachusetts Office for Administration and Finance. Mahr earned a Master's of Public Administration from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School and a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science from Hartwick College. Additionally, Mahr attended Stoneleigh-Burnham School.
