Christian Reitberger

Christian Reitberger is a seasoned venture capital professional with extensive experience in technology investments and portfolio management. Currently a Partner at Matterwave Ventures since January 2022, Christian focuses on supporting the European industry. As a General Partner at Wellington Partners since October 2008, Christian co-created a diverse portfolio in smart electronics, photonics, and computer vision, while also advising on cleantech investments. Prior experience includes a Partner role at btov Partners, where Christian led investments in industrial innovations and served on several boards. Earlier career roles at Apax Partners and McKinsey & Company included significant responsibilities in venture and growth transactions, as well as consulting for technology firms. Christian holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Vienna and an MSc in Physics from Universität Innsbruck.
