Maria Yanelli

Maria Yanelli currently serves as Senior Vice President of Quality Operations at WellMed Medical Management, a position held since December 2019. Previously, Maria held the role of Central Region Quality Director at UnitedHealth Group from February 2016 to December 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing Quality Program results and aligning strategies with regional leadership. Prior to that, Maria was Sr. Director of Quality & Population Health Management and Sr. Director of Care Management at WellMed Medical Management from May 2010 to February 2016, focusing on improving health plan performance and managing a large team in various care management aspects. Additional experience includes serving as RN Team Manager at LifeMasters Supported SelfCare from May 2006 to May 2010 and Medical Wellness Program Coordinator at Schnitzler Cardiovascular Consultants from October 2000 to May 2006. Maria earned a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Nursing from UT Health San Antonio between 2006 and 2010.
