Shani Porter is a dedicated culinary professional with extensive experience in nutrition education and food preparation. Currently serving as the Culinary CookCamp Coordinator and Chef Liaison at Wellness in the Schools since September 2010, Shani leads initiatives focused on improving community health and educating students about healthier food choices. Through various roles at WITS, including Chef Liaison and WITS-in-residence chef, Shani has actively contributed to combating childhood obesity by teaching cooking techniques and nutrition concepts. In addition to working with Wellness in the Schools, Shani operates as a personal chef and food stylist with 71ateChef, alongside a role as a sous chef at Yum Yum Chefs. Contributions to Beauty and the Bump as a regular post contributor further demonstrate Shani's commitment to sharing culinary knowledge. Shani holds a Culinary Arts diploma from The Institute of Culinary Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from St. John's University.
