Vice President Of MAT Operations, Justice Involved at Wellpath

Stephanie Ruckman DNP has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Stephanie started their career as a Registered Nurse at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they provided nursing care for pre and post-surgical patients. Stephanie also performed pre-surgery assessments and provided patient and family education on discharge instructions.

Afterwards, Stephanie worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Health Resource Integration LLC, where they independently provided care in a fast-paced primary care, family practice setting. Their responsibilities included prescribing and dispensing medications, as well as ordering and interpreting labs, diagnostic testing, and imaging.

Stephanie then joined Wellpath as a Regional Clinical Specialist/Nurse Practitioner. In this role, they utilized telemedicine services for weekly patient visits, including chronic care and acute care services. Stephanie was also selected as a Wellpath warrior, representing the company in start-ups and transitions. Stephanie performed peer reviews on nurse practitioners in their territory.

Later on, Stephanie took on the position of National Director of MAT Programs, Local Detention at Wellpath. Stephanie designed and implemented companywide policies and procedures for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and developed ANCC approved training materials on addiction and MAT services. Stephanie also presented at local and state level conferences on addiction and MAT in the correctional environment.

Currently, Stephanie serves as the Vice President of MAT Operations, Justice Involved at Wellpath. Stephanie has been instrumental in establishing over 130 MAT programs inside correctional walls within 3 years. Stephanie creates site-specific MAT programs, including budgets, workflows, and training. Stephanie also performs CQI studies to evaluate program compliance.

Stephanie Ruckman DNP completed their Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at The University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Family Practice Nurse/Nursing from Austin Peay State University from 2010 to 2012 and a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Cumberland University from 2001 to 2004. Stephanie also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Regis University, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Stephanie has additional certifications, including being an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Tennessee and Florida, a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP).
