Michelle Tijerina currently serves as the Voz y Corazon Suicide Prevention Program Community Coordinator at WellPower, a position held since February 2012. In addition, Michelle has been with the Mental Health Center of Denver since July 2005, taking on roles such as Child & Family Community Coordinator and Mental Health First Aid Trainer, with multiple certifications in both adult and youth mental health first aid. Michelle played a pivotal role as the Coordinator and Co-Trainer for the inaugural "Primeros Auxilios para la Salud Mental" Training Pilot in Colorado in 2012. Previous experience includes co-founding the A New Day Family Resource Center, working as a Child & Family Bilingual Clinical Case Manager, and serving as a Residential Youth Counselor at Excelsior Youth Center. Michelle also has a background as a Certified Personal Trainer and Apex Nutrition Counselor at 24 Hour Fitness and held the position of Physical Therapy Assistant at HealthONE. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from St Mary's University.
