Laura Crane

Laura Crane is an accomplished research associate at Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve since May 2019, where responsibilities include coordinating and conducting monitoring for research projects related to salt marshes, larval fish populations, invasive species, and water quality. Laura also serves as an adjunct professor at York County Community College since January 2023, teaching online environmental science courses and developing field-based lab sections. Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve

The Wells Reserve at Laudholm is a National Estuarine Research Reserve with its headquarters listed on the National Register of Historic Places. MISSION: The Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve works to expand knowledge about coasts and estuaries, engage people in environmental learning, and involve communities in conserving natural resources, all with a goal of protecting and restoring coastal ecosystems around the Gulf of Maine. Wells Reserve funding comes primarily from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Laudholm Trust, a member-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
