Barbara Costello

Barbara Costello is currently the Director of Utilization Management, Clinical Programs at WellSense Health Plan since February 2020. Prior to this role, Barbara held positions at Tufts Health Plan as a Clinical Program Manager III for Medical Policy and at Network Health as a Manager for Medical Care Management. Barbara also worked at Tufts Health Plan as a Precertification Supervisor. Before their work in health insurance, Barbara was a School Nurse/ School Nurse Leader for the City of Haverhill. Barbara holds a Master of Science in Health Care Management from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons University.
