Chad Deardorff

Chad Deardorff, MBA/MPA, EFO, CFO, serves as the Director of Prehospital Services and Director of Emergency Management (Central Region) at WellSpan Health since March 2021, with previous roles including Manager of Safety & Emergency Management at WellSpan Health Surgery & Rehab Hospital/Apple Hill Campus. Chad holds the position of Vice President at the Pennsylvania Fire & Emergency Services Institute Inc and President of the Fire Chiefs and Fire Fighters Association of York County Inc, both since January 2016. In addition, Chad has contributed as an Adjunct Instructor at Harrisburg Area Community College since June 2011 and held leadership roles within the International Association of Fire Chiefs from 2017 to 2022. Chad has an extensive background in fire services, having served in various capacities at the City of York Department of Fire/Rescue Services from March 1995 to March 2021, culminating as Fire Chief. Chad's educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science, an MBA/MPA, and completion of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy.
