Dan Smedley

Dan Smedley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health services and public administration. Currently serving as the Director of Member Engagement at HAP since August 2022, Dan previously held the role of Special Assistant to the President and Governance Liaison at the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania from April 2017 to August 2022. Dan also contributed to the Pennsylvania Department of Aging in various capacities, including Executive Assistant to the Secretary and Administrative Officer. Earlier experience includes an internship with The Harrisburg Internship Semester, and a Fire Direction Sergeant role in the Army National Guard. Dan holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a degree in Public Administration from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
