Elsa Marmaras

Elsa Marmaras is a Chemical Characterization Specialist at Wellspect HealthCare since October 2016, focusing on the chemical characterization and biological safety of materials in medical devices. Previously, Elsa held the position of Validation Engineer, specializing in the validation of production processes for intermittent urinary catheters with hydrophilic coating. Prior experience includes a consultancy role at Dfind Science & Engineering as a Process Validation Engineer and serving as a Risk and Design Validation Engineer at BIOTRONIK, where responsibilities included risk management and design validation for balloon catheters and stent systems. Elsa's academic background features a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich, where research centered on the mechanobiology of muscle development, and an M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology.
