Carol Barone

Carol Barone, BSN, RN, CPHQ, LSS-BB, currently serves as the System Manager of Professional Practice Evaluation at Wellstar Health System since December 2020. Prior to this role, Carol held multiple leadership positions at WellStar North Fulton Hospital from September 2010 to September 2023, including Director of Quality & Patient Safety and Director of Clinical Quality Improvement/Risk Management. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Clinical Quality Improvement at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis from February 2008 to September 2010, and at Kenner Regional Medical Center/Ochsner from September 2003 to February 2008. Early career experience includes a role as DCQI at Doctors Hospital of Jefferson from 1999 to 2003. Carol Barone earned a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of Phoenix (2007-2009) and received a nursing diploma from Touro Infirmary School of Nursing (1975-1979).
