Rachel Salazar has over 8 years of professional experience. Rachel began their career in 2011 as an IMS Software Coordinator at OrthoWA, where they trained Doctors and office employees in the IMS medical software system, and solved technical issues. Rachel also coordinated medical record transfers with other clinics, and lead and designed a media storage project for all records on file. In 2014, Rachel took on the role of Accounting Assistant at OrthoWA, where they headed and designed a whole-office audit of billing records, and consulted weekly with accountant. Rachel also headed and designed surgery report templates to eliminate all need for outsourced dictating and transcribing, as well as designed advertisements for office marketing. In 2015, Rachel was an Employment Representative at Brigham Young University, where they worked with departments in processing hires, posting jobs, completing employee government documents. Rachel also worked extensively with applicants in dealing with frustrations, concerns, and questions regarding applications, and conducted an in-depth audit of I-9 and other legal documents. In 2017, Rachel became the Property Manager at Maple Leaf Court Apartments, where they were responsible for the leasing, maintenance, cleaning, yard work, safety, and 24-hour on-call support for tenants of 34 Seattle apartment units. Other duties included showing apartments, screening applicants, processing all leasing paperwork, collecting and processing payments, and other book-keeping. Finally, in 2016, Rachel became a Corporate Wellness Consultant/Team Lead at WellSteps, where they created and implemented health and wellness programs, presentations, tools, and resources for US-based companies. Rachel also provided culture-change auditing and consulting, and processed highly sensitive PHI, generating aggregate data and other reporting.
Rachel Salazar attended Brigham Young University from 2013 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness. Prior to that, they attended Brigham Young University-Hawaii from 2010 to 2012, where they earned an Associate of Science in Exercise and Sports Science.
