LaShawn Jackson Turner is an experienced clinical therapist and licensed professional counselor with a strong academic background in psychology and public health. Currently serving as an adjunct professor at Alabama A&M University, LaShawn has also been a clinical therapist at the National Children's Advocacy Center since March 2019 and a licensed professional counselor at WellStone since March 2015. Previous experience includes a role as a school-based therapist at Wellstone Behavioral Health from March 2015 to June 2016. LaShawn holds a Doctor’s Degree in Public Health with a focus on Health Advocacy and Leadership from Capella University (2014-2017), a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the Alabama A&M University Graduate School (2010-2013), a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix (2007-2009), and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.
