Swagat Banerjee

Swagat Banerjee is Senior Vice President – Data & Insights leader at Welltower, overseeing the Firm’s Business Insights group and developing data science-based solutions for the capital allocation process.

Mr. Banerjee primarily works across the business segments, functions and information management groups to align data, analytics and business strategies. He leads Welltower’s data science, big data and predictive analytical solutions to provide statistical models for informed decision making. The focus is to understand and develop solutions using health systems and historical senior housing data relevant to the real estate industry for statistically relevant parameters and to create a platform for integrated analytical solutions. Mr. Banerjee focuses on all the business streams at Welltower, including the senior housing analytics for US, UK & Canada and outpatient medical & health systems solutions.

Prior to joining Welltower, Mr. Banerjee led the Data and Analytics group at PwC, where he acquired significant experience in developing strategies, managing large data initiatives, leading highly effective cross-functional teams, and collaborating with executive leadership at large organizations from diverse industries to drive and implement data strategies, data management frameworks and solutions aligned with business goals. Mr. Banerjee has extensive experience in the Finance, Retail, Insurance, Credit Card, Telecommunications, Real Estate and Hospitality industries where he developed data science-based solutions.

Mr. Banerjee earned an MBA in Finance from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology. He is a frequent panelist at senior housing and finance data conferences with a focus on integrating data platforms and tools to enable real estate and health care solutions and generating insights from distributed industry datasets.
