Mahmoud al Basha

Mahmoud Al Basha is a seasoned communication and advocacy professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and media sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Communication Advisor for Türkiye, Syria, and Lebanon at Welthungerhilfe since February 2024, Mahmoud has previously held roles such as Research Consultant at CDAC Network and Communication & Advocacy Adviser at the United Nations OCHA. Additional experience includes serving as an Advocacy & Communication Adviser for the Syrian Constitutional Committee and working as a Journalist at The Times. Mahmoud also worked as a Producer at RTL Deutschland. Mahmoud holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Hasan Kalyoncu University, currently pursuing studies until December 2033, and another Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Jami't Al-Ba'ath.
