Moritz Matakas

Moritz Matakas is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Partner Projects at Welthungerhilfe, beginning in October 2023, following a brief paternity leave. Previously, Matakas held the position of Grants and Institutional Partnership Manager at CADUS e.V., where responsibilities included technical and administrative grants management and donor coordination from November 2021 to October 2023. Prior to that, Matakas worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH in various roles including Berater and Junior-Berater, focusing on technical leads, staff management, and M&E activities. Matakas's early experiences include internships at multiple organizations, contributing to research and project support in international cooperation and security. Matakas holds a Master of Science in Global Health with Conflict and Security from King's College London and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Social Science from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
