Philip Volkmann-Schluck

Philip Volkmann-Schluck is an experienced journalist with a strong background in foreign affairs and political reporting. Currently serving as Managing Editor of the Foreign Desk at Welt since July 2020, Philip also holds the position of Editor at Axel Springer SE since February 2019. Previous roles include Political Editor at BILD and Deputy Spokesperson at the Embassy of Israel. Philip's career began as a Reporter at Die Welt and Berliner Morgenpost, followed by a role at Hamburger Abendblatt as a Landespolitik Editor. Philip holds a Master's degree in History from the University of Hamburg and completed a journalism program at Axel Springer Akademie. A Semester Abroad in History, Pacific Science, and English was also undertaken at the University of Auckland.
