Octavio Cardoso

Octavio Cardoso has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Octavio currently serves as the Design Lead at weme, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, Octavio worked as a Business Designer at weme from November 2021 to October 2022.

In addition to their work at weme, Octavio is also a Professor at IEBS Business School, a role they have held since October 2021.

Before joining weme and IEBS Business School, Octavio worked as a Business Mentor from September 2019, providing guidance and support to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and startups in designing their business models and improving their services.

Octavio was also a Co-founder and Host of the World Agile Summit, a role they held from July 2020.

Starting from May 2017 to September 2019, Octavio served as a Service Designer and Agile Coach at Caixa Econômica Federal, where they played a crucial role in the bank's digital transformation. Octavio coached squads, implemented agile practices, and led innovation sessions.

Prior to their time at Caixa Econômica Federal, Octavio worked as a Project Manager from July 2016 to May 2017 and as a Business Strategy Specialist from February 2015 to July 2016. Octavio also held the position of Branch Credit Manager from April 2009 to February 2015.

Before entering the corporate world, Octavio gained experience as a Senior Legal Assistant at FUNCEF from March 2004 to April 2009. Octavio also worked as a Law Student Intern at Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) from July 2002 to February 2004.

From 2020 to 2021, Octavio attended Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and earned a degree in Ciencia, Gestión e Ingenieria de Servicios with a field of study in Engenharia de Serviços.

In 2019 to 2020, they pursued a Master's degree at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, specializing in Service Engineering and Management.
