Afek Ilay Adler

Afek Ilay Adler has held various positions in the field of data science since 2011. Afek Ilay began their career in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as a Commander (Maglan) from 2011-2012. After their service, they worked as a Data Analyst for Wefi from 2017-2019. Afek Ilay then joined Spotlight Ltd. as a Data Scientist from 2019-2020. From 2020-2021, they worked as a Data Scientist for Riskified, and currently holds the same position with Wenrix. During their time at Tel Aviv University from 2018-2020, they served as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant. Their research focused on Feature Importance in Gradient Boosting Trees with Cross-Validation Feature Selection. Their teaching assistant roles included building course materials in R and Python, creating home assignments, and teaching normative and descriptive approaches in Decision Theory.

Afek Ilay Adler attended Tel Aviv University from 2018-2020, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Informatics (Industrial Engineering). Prior to that, they attended Tel Aviv University from 2015-2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology (Industrial Engineering).
