Denise Palumbo's work experience includes serving as the Vice President of Operations (Interim) at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Assistant to the Vice President at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital since November 2018. Denise also worked as an Executive Healthcare Consultant for Strategy and Operations at WorldCare International, Inc. starting from July 2012. Before that, they served as the Director of Perioperative Services: Ambulatory Care at Massachusetts General Hospital from January 2017 to November 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Lawrence General Hospital from January 2011 to July 2015. Denise began their career at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1986 as the Executive Director of Imaging, a role they held until December 2010.
Denise Palumbo completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Northeastern University. Denise then went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Nursing Administration and Community Health from Salem State University. Currently, Denise is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Population Health and Care Redesign at the University of New Hampshire.
