Akeem Philbert

Akeem Philbert has been in the tech industry since 2005. Akeem began their career as a Multimedia Developer at SciMedMedia in 2005, then moved on to become a Senior Web Developer at Rokkan in 2006. In 2010, they were a PHP Developer at both HUGE and TruTV. From 2011 to present, they have been a Tech Lead at Bandwidth Productions - Website Design Agency, a Software Developer at HUGE Inc., and the Founder of Wepala. At Wepala, Philbert is responsible for setting up brainstorms, managing the technical team, architecting technical solutions, coding, representing clients at conferences, communicating with clients, kicking off product discovery and planning, and recruiting new team members.

Akeem Philbert completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from Monroe College in 2005. In 2009, they obtained a Zend Certified Engineer, PHP5 certification. Akeem is currently attending Queen's Royal College.
