Liang Xia

Liang Xia has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 as a Student Desktop Specialist at the University of San Francisco. During this time, they focused on creating and updating deployment images and packages for PC and Mac OS, as well as writing technical documentation.

In 2014, Liang joined Cisco as an IT Engineer, where they were responsible for deploying and maintaining VMs on UCS servers, automating testing and management using scripting tools like Shell, Jenkins, and Rundeck, and managing IT Infrastructure via Foreman and Puppet.

In 2016, Liang worked as a System Engineer Intern at Minerva Networks before joining Fetch Robotics in 2018 as a DevOps Engineer. At Fetch Robotics, Liang designed and maintained TeamCity CI/CD workflow and built, tested, and deployed web services in k8s and AWS. They also implemented web services using Golang and React.

From 2019 to 2021, Liang returned to WePay as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they held both junior and senior positions. In this role, they contributed to the reliability of WePay's systems by implementing improvements and resolving issues.

Following their time at WePay, Liang joined Apple in 2021 as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. They continued to contribute to the reliability of Apple's systems before transitioning to a Senior Site Reliability Engineer role at WePay in 2022.

Liang Xia completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Shanghai Second Polytechnic University from 2008 to 2011. In June 2011, they obtained the CCIE RS certification from CISCO. Later, from 2011 to 2014, Liang pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco. Finally, from 2016 to 2017, Liang earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University.
