Mike Balmer

Mike Balmer is an experienced educator and researcher in the field of chemistry. Currently serving as a Docent scheikunde at Were Di since August 2021, Mike previously held similar teaching roles at Montessori College Nijmegen & Groesbeek and Kandinsky College. Additionally, Mike has contributed as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Molecules and Materials at Radboud University, focusing on antimalarial research. Mike gained valuable research experience during internships at Radboud University and Food & Biobased Research Wageningen UR, where work involved peptide chemistry and polymer analysis, respectively. Mike holds a Master of Science in Chemistry and an Onderwijsmaster from Radboud University, along with bachelor's degrees from Radboud University and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Mike's early volunteer work with Stichting Vakantiewerk Veldhoven involved organizing summer activities for children from less affluent backgrounds.
