Nesreen Ismail has a long history of work experience in the field of research. Nesreen began their career in 1999 as a Senior Research Technician at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where they conducted immunohistochemistry, western blotting, electrophysiological and behavioral experiments/data recording on rats and mice. Nesreen also assisted in writing grant proposals and conducted surgical procedures on the rat brain. In 2003, they moved to Boston Children's Hospital as a Research Assistant II in the Vascular Biology Program under the direction of Dr. Judah Folkman, focusing mainly on cardiovascular disease research. Nesreen then became a Research Assistant I at the same hospital. In 2009, they joined AVEO Oncology as an Associate Scientist and Senior Research Associate. In 2018, they were a Consultant at Astellas Pharma US and an Associate Scientist at POTENZA Therapeutics. Most recently, they have been a Scientist and Associate Scientist in Protein Engineering at Werewolf Therapeutics since 2019.
Nesreen Ismail received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Christian Brothers University from 1996 to 2000. Nesreen then went on to receive a Master of Science (MS) in Biology, General from UMass Boston from 2008 to 2009.
