Huazhong Ning

Huazhong Ning is the VP of Engineering and Head of Perception at WeRide, a company that is revolutionizing mobility with autonomous driving technologies powered by AI and Robotics. At WeRide, Huazhong is responsible for enabling the cars to see the world and to know what they see. Prior to joining WeRide, Huazhong was a Research Scientist at Facebook where they worked on the Applied Machine Learning Team. There, they worked on large scale deep learning platforms for major Facebook ranking systems, multi-task learning, large scale topic modeling, deep learning for user modeling, and more. Before Facebook, Huazhong was a Senior Research Scientist at AKIIRA Media Systems Inc. and an Applied Researcher at Microsoft Corporation. Huazhong started their career as an intern at NEC Laboratories America, Inc. and then went on to work as a Technical Project Manager and 3G Software Engineer at Alcatel.

Huazhong Ning's education is listed as follows: they have a PHD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Huazhong also has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same school. TheirBachelor's degree is in Information and Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
