James L. Singleton

James Singleton is an experienced executive with a diverse background in finance and leadership. Currently serving as the Lead Independent Director at WESCO Distribution since May 1999, Singleton previously held the position of Chairman & CEO at Curex Group LLC from October 2009 to October 2023, focusing on enhancing foreign exchange services for buy side institutions. Additionally, Singleton was a Managing Partner at Pillar Capital LP from October 2007 to December 2013 and served as Co-Chairman and President of The Cypress Group LLC between April 1994 and December 2005. Early in their career, Singleton was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers from June 1983 to April 1994, specializing in corporate finance and merchant banking. Singleton holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in English and History from Yale College.
