Malcolm Cowell

Malcolm Cowell currently serves as the Assistant Company Secretary at Wesfarmers since April 2022. Prior to this role, Cowell was the General Manager Finance at BNK Bank from March 2017 to April 2022, overseeing statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, management accounting, and company secretarial functions within an APRA regulated bank in Western Australia. Cowell's previous experience at KPMG Australia from July 2001 to February 2017 includes serving as Audit Director, with a focus on auditing listed and unlisted companies, as well as large proprietary companies and managed investment schemes. Additionally, Cowell worked at the Commonwealth Bank from December 1990 to July 2001 as a Credit Analyst, managing a portfolio valued at $110 million. Cowell holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting from Edith Cowan University, earned between 1997 and 2001.
