Malcolm Shield is a seasoned professional in sustainability and climate action, currently serving as Vice President of Sustainability at Wesgroup Properties since June 2021, where efforts focus on low-carbon utility planning and enhancing the ESG program. Prior experience includes roles at Associated Engineering, leading the development of emissions reduction strategies, and C40 Cities, where oversight of climate action planning for 37 cities across North America and Europe was provided. As Climate Policy Manager with the City of Vancouver, Malcolm developed the Renewable City Strategy and Electric Vehicle Ecosystem Strategy. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a First Class MEng from Imperial College London.
