Before the first guests were welcomed at Disney World and NASA figured out how to launch a man into space from Cape Canaveral, WESH 2 went on the air. And its team of veteran reporters have a combined 219 years of experience covering Orlando and the surrounding areas. WESH 2 became an NBC affiliate in 1956, and for the past 15 years, has also been broadcasting hours of daily, local content on the CW. Acquired by Hearst Television in 1999, WESH 2 quickly became a stand-out organization in a company with more than 40 active television stations.
